So, since the Wraithknight went down so well on ebay I thought I’d take the opportunity to paint up the rest of the new releases gw has graced us with this month, namely, the new plastic farseer and revamped wraithguard.
First of all, they are really nice models, granted I’m a bit of a gw fanboy with regards to their miniatures, but these really are very nice.
The farseer does have a slight gap in the cloak when assembled but nothing a spot of liquid green stuff can’t fix. (I haven’t sanded it yet but you get the idea)
The wraithguard themselves come with lots of spangly options including the D-Scythe weapon, twin swords, axes and the ever present wraithcannon. As these are destined for ebay, I decided to go with wraithcannons as they seem to be a popular army choice.
No issues with assembly really, aside from being an idiot and clipping all the torso’s out first without checking that they’re not all different…..because they are, each torso is matched to a specific set of legs and spending an extra ten minutes matching up legs and torso’s wasn’t really on my agenda for this evening.
All in all, they should be fun but simple to paint. Next on the list is to assemble the other part of my purchase, a wraithfighter, tomorrow morning. That I think needs a post all of its own.
